In this class, we will examine the relationships between the intra-thoracic membranes from the visceral neck, to the diaphragm, and their relationships to the ribcage, and shoulder girdle.

We will do some physical demonstrations of technique, and guide an exchange of sessions between class participants. In addition there will be a hand out, slide presentations of anatomy, and lecture time.

The take away will be enhanced diagnostic skills, more efficient intervention, and a more profound understanding of structure.

Bruce began his study of Visceral Osteopathy in 1997 with a class on fascial manipulation of the digestive system. Resonating with the interior world of organs and their relationships with the musculoskeletal system, Bruce studied Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation primarily with the Barral Institute. Taking classes for over a decade with innovator Jean-Pierre Barral D.O. directly, other influences are Gail Wetzler PT, DPT, EDO, BI-D and Alain Croibier D.O.. Bruce's additional studies include coursework with A.J. de Koenig D.O., Didier Prat D.O., Alain Gehin D.O., Claudia Kohn D.O. and Hugh Milne D.O.

Jan studied directly with Dr. Rolf, graduating in 1970. Dr Rolf invited him to teach, and later to teach in Advanced Classes. He has been teaching at all levels of the RISI curriculum since 1976. Jan also been studying with JP Barral, DO for 25 years. He has been doing nerve work inspired by Don Hazen, and others for several years. He also has maintained a full time private practice for 45 years.
